On Tuesday 28th December we had a show dedicated to Rockin' Yann's 60th Birthday. Yann and his wife Gill were in the studio, and as expected it was a CRAZY night. Yann picked the tracks for the show, and also donated some prizes, one for the main winner and one for the 'Don't Know' pile! He also sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 21st December we had the return of Tony Fry from Shrewsbury. Tony played tracks from the ACE record label in the States. Dell also played some of the obscure Christmas tracks that were released in the late 50's! Tony and Re-cycled Records jointly sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 14th December we had John Fisher with his 11th show sponsored by GRT member Bernie Haake. John played more rare and obscure rockin' tracks for our listeners!!

On Tuesday 7th December we had DJ Cockney Rebel on the show. Terry picked some rare British rockers for the listeners. He is regarded as the UK's top British rock'n'roll DJ and has a massive collection. Terry also sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 30th November the bad weather caused the postponement of John Fisher's 11th show sponsored by GRT member Bernie Haake. Instead Dell played a selection of favourites and rare tracks, with a liberal sprinkling of requests. John Fisher will be on parade in two weeks time, on December 14th.

On Tuesday 23rd November we had a Retro night sponsored by GRT club member Dave Williamson. Dave chose 20 tracks by bands of today, like The Inferno's, Darrel Higham, Porky's Hot Rockin', The Little Town Big Shots and many more. Dell also played some popular bands who are touring the clubs.

On Tuesday 16th November we had a night of Ultra Rare Rockabilly's Part 1. We featured some rare and hard-to-find rockabilly records that are sought after by the serious collector. Here are some artists we featured:- Cecil McNabb Jr., Benny Barnes, Curtis Gordon, Benny Cliff, Curtis Johnson, Tom James, Bill Craddock, Aubrey Cagle, Jimmy Evans, Joe Tate, Jimmy & Johnny, Rocky, Tommy Cassell, The Phantom, Sonnee West, Glenn Reeves, Bernie Early, Don Duncan, Terry Daly, Werley Fairburn, Rocket Morgan, Skip Goodspeed, Don Hager, Gene Parsons and many more!

On Tuesday 9th November we had club members Edwardian Kev & Luca from Norway! They were in the UK for 'The Day Of The Teds' on Saturday 6th November at The Roman Way Pub in Luton. Kev and Luca chose a selection of their favourite tracks from past and present (including some Norwegian rock'n'roll). They also kindly sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 2nd November we had an All British Artist Show selected by club member and guest Robb Shenton. Of course, he included some Joe Meek tracks! Robb also kindly sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 26th October we had a CLIFF show! In other words early Cliff & The Drifters, early Shadows with The Chesternuts, and also bands who imitated Cliff's style like Hal Burton, Bud Ashton and many more. Dell played bands of today who play in the style of Cliff. This show was put together by club member 'Nidge' who also sponsored the night.

On Tuesday 19th October we had John Fisher returning for his 10th appearance this year. As usual, he played some rare and hard-to-get rockin' tracks from his huge collection. Club member Bernie Haake has sponsored all of John's shows!

On Tuesday 12th October we had another show put together by club member James Lay. He enjoyed his first show so much he couldn't wait to do another one. He picked another 20 tracks from his rockin' collection. James also kindly sponsored the show!!

On Tuesday 5th October we had the return of club member Pete Gold, who this time played an Instrumental Special. He picked 20 instrumentals from his record collection. Pete also kindly sponsored the whole show!!

On Tuesday 28th September we had a Doo-Wop Special with club members East End Mark and 'Nidge' , who played some classic and obscure fifties doo-wop records. As a contrast, Dell played bands of today who play in a doo-wop style. Mark and Nidge also sponsored the show! Thanks guys!

On Tuesday 21st September we had a Listeners Request Show. Dell played a complete mixed bag of retro, rockabilly, doo-wop, wild howlers, jive and stroll.

Unfortunately Paul and Carl of the The Wild Kats couldn't make it this night, but they will be coming on the show in the near future.

On Tuesday 14th September we had the 9th sponsored show with John Fisher. Another night of rare rockers and classic rock'n'roll. Once again we must thank club member Bernie Haake for sponsoring John.

On Tuesday 7th September we had, by kind permission from the local mental asylum, the release of Rockin' Yann for 3 hours of frantic rock'n'roll. He was allowed to remove his straight jacket while under supervision from the men in white coats! Club member Donna Grogan kindly sponsored this rockin' madman. Another night of mayhem and laughs!

On Tuesday 31st August 2010 we had Janie and Ady from the Crondall Rock'n'Roll Club, along with singer Johnnie Fox. Sadly, Ritchie Edmunds couldn't make it. Janie and Ady picked some tracks to play as well as Johnnie. The Crondall Rock'n'Roll Club sponsored the whole night!

On Tuesday 17th August we had GRT club member Martian Marcus, with his mate Paul. He came down to play his selection of RETRO Rockin' tracks, featuring bands of more recent years playing wild rockabilly and hot rock'n'roll. Marcus also kindly sponsored the entire show!

On Tuesday 27th July we had two members of the western swing band Rusti Steele in the studio, Paul and Stu. They came down to plug their new CD called 'Gone With The Wind' on Western Star. Paul also picked some artists that have influenced him over the years. Alan Wilson from Western Star Records kindly sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 13th July unfortunately Danny Bedocs, editor of Milkcow Magazine, was unable to make it We hope to re-arrange his visit for a future programme.

On Tuesday 6th July we had a split sponsored show. The first half of the show was sponsored by a Mystery Club Member, who turned out to be Marion Scott, to surprise her partner Bob on his 65th birthday. They run the Hiam club in Cambridgeshire.
The second half of the show was sponsored by club members Mick and Donna Fisher, because they won the tickets for the Shake Rattle'n'Roll Weekender, and as a thank-you to us they sponsored half a show. Marion, Mick and Donna each picked a selection of favourite tracks for the listeners. Bob didn't know anything about it beforehand!

On Tuesday 29th June we had the wild man of rock'n'roll Roy Young. He recorded some of the wildest rock'n'roll in those early days, with songs like Big Fat Mama, I Go Ape & Keep A Knockin'. Roy came down to the show with his wife Carol. He now lives back in the UK after a long time living in the States, and he has been booked for 3 major weekenders in the UK next year!

Club Member Malc Minney kindly sponsored the whole show, as well as manning the phones on a very hot and busy night. Thanks Malc !!

On Tuesday 22nd June we had 'The Music Man' John Fisher on the show. This was his 7th sponsored show this year! We have to thank GRT club member Bernie Haake from Germany for sponsoring each of John's shows. Another batch of rare and interesting rockin' tracks for the listeners!

On Tuesday 15th June we had Andrew Ings as a guest. He has just had a book published called "Rockin' At The 2-I's Coffee Bar". The book contains many interviews with artistes who used to frequent the coffee bar, names like Terry Wayne, Vince Eager, Terry Dene, Dave Sampson, Danny Rivers, Russ Sainty, Sir Cliff Richard and many more. The book is published by Book Guild Publishing and sells for £16.99 at most retailers! Another name we haven't mentioned is Wee Willie Harris, and he also came to the studio with Andrew to tell us some stories of those early 50's days!

On Tuesday 1st June we had the return of Tony Fry. He gave us another themed show by featuring the Imperial Record Label. Here are a few of the artists he featured on this night - Ricky Nelson, Bob Luman, Weldon Rogers, The Strikes, Laura Lee Perkins, Jackie Walker, Fat's Domino and many more. On Tuesday 4th May we had GRT club member Bill 'Rocket' Haynes on the show, to celebrate his 65th Birthday. Bill picked his 20 favourite tracks to play for the listeners, and also used the occasion to support his favourite charity. He asked his friends and acquaintances to sponsor each record he played, and he raised over One Thousand Pounds! He also kindly sponsored the show!! Mark chose 20 tracks from his collection, and he came down to promote his forthcoming event at The Roman Way, Luton on Saturday 1st May, featuring The Jive Romeros and The Rhythm Aces. On Tuesday 20th April we had GRT club member Pete Gold back on the show. He came up with a 'themed' night with the title of 'WELL'. A clever concept, with almost every track starting with the singer shouting 'Well'. It's not obvious in the titles but it was obvious when the track started. Some examples are Git It / Gene Vincent, My Way / Eddie Cochran, Honey Hush / Johnny Burnette and dozens more!! Well - another great rockin' night. Pete also kindly sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 30th March we invited record producer John Schroeder to the show. He worked in the early days as right-hand-man to Norrie Paramor. He was the guy that got Helen Shapiro started as a young teenager, and he worked for Columbia, Oriole and Pye Records and later, in the seventies, even produced an album by Crazy Cavan. Another interesting and informative night for the listeners! GRT club member Terry Wheeler sponsored the whole show - thanks Terry!

On Tuesday 9th March 2010 we had the return of Joe Meek recording artist Robb Shenton. He came down with fellow Decca Records recording artist Dave Kaye (of Dykons fame), and keyboard instrumentalist Byron Elwell. They have all been involved in a new album called "Retro Reflections" to be released soon. They featured some songs from this new album, and the guys also kindly sponsored the show! Another informative night with some rare early British tracks being played.

On Tuesday 2nd March we had Johnny Red as a guest on the show, on his third visit to Radio Caroline. He came down to promote his latest CD release called 'The Very Best Of Johnny & The Jailbirds (from the beginning)'. He told the listeners about his music career, and the high's and low's of performing throughout the years! He also kindly offered to sponsor the show! Thanks Johnny!

On Tuesday 16th February we had the return of the two canine DJ's The Two Hound Dogs. They wanted to switch things round that night and take control of the show, and had Dell Richardson as their special guest.

On Tuesday 2nd February 2010 we had a music-only special called Teen, Teenage & Teenager Part 1. In other words, tracks with these words in the title. Here are some we played:- The Jet Men - Teen Scene, Dwight Pullen - Teenage Bug, Ernie Fields - Teen Flip, Dion - Teenager In Love, Brenda Lee - One Teenager to Another, Jerry Lee Lewis - Teenage Letter, Berry Kids - You're My Teenage Partner, Mark Dining - Teen Angel and dozens more. We have enough tracks for a couple of shows! We even played a track by Rolf Harris from 1963 called "Nick O'Teen And Al K. Hall" ha ha!!

On Tuesday 26th January, sadly DJ and promoter Lee Hugman couldn't make it at the last minute for health reasons. We hope he will be back to rude health, and be able to make a visit soon. Dell played a 'mixed bag' of tracks.

On Tuesday 19th January we had club member Saxy Den's unusual themed night called If You Don't Play Rock'n'Roll, You Don't Eat. This show featured artists that were forced by their record companies to make rock'n'roll records even though it was alien to their usual style. We featured stars like Roger Whittaker, Ray Conniff, Slim Dusty, Alma Cogan, Fred Astaire, Ken Macintosh, Tom Jones, Hayley Mills, Joe Loss, Mae West, Stan Freberg, Jack Parnell, John Fraser, Tony Crombie and many more. A different slant on the rockin' 50's scene that was interesting and curious! Den also sponsored the show - Thanks mate!
