On Tuesday 22nd December we had the return of Tony Fry. He decided to make this evening a SUN RECORD LABEL special. Between Tony and Dell, they featured many different styles of SUN recordings. On Tuesday 1st December we had a double bill with two club members splitting the show.
In the first half we had GRT club member Steve Howlett who runs the Spalding
Rock'n'Roll Club, see their website at

He asked his club members to pick out their favourite tracks, and a selection was drawn
at random to be played on the show! His club sponsored the first half of the show!
The second half of the show was sponsored by GRT club member Byron Wynn from
Somerset. Byron loves his rock'n'roll music and decided to take us up on our offer to
let members pick their own selection of music! Classic rockers from the Cider Country!

On Tuesday 24th November we had another visit from old time favourite John Fisher. He will be returning on a regular basis every 6 weeks throughout the New Year, and Club member Bernie Haake will sponsor each of John's shows! What a great guy - Danke! John will do some themed nights featuring different styles of the rockin' scene. Tonights theme was 'Cover Versions', featuring some well-known tracks as covered by other artists.

On Tuesday 17th November we had Miss Jean Vincent in the studio. Jean came down to promote her new CD on Western Star called 'New Hips & Panties'. We talked to her about her interesting musical career and the places she has visited. She also donated some copies of the CD to the winner of the competition. Western Star Records and 'Miss Jean' also kindly sponsored the show between them.

On Tuesday 10th November we had a show jointly sponsored by Teddyboy Dave & Teddygirl
Frankie from Majorca, and Brian Bell from East Anglia.
Dave and Frankie listen
each week from their paradise island, where Dave plays guitar for the local rockin' crowd.
Brian involved his two sons Gareth and Nigel to pick some of the tracks for the show.
Brian is a big Gene Vincent fan, and he
found a few rare tracks to play!

On Tuesday 6th October we had Banger, real name Val. She used to get into scraps in her youth and was given the nickname 'Banger'. Val is a lot older and wiser now, but the name has stuck over the years. She used to go to a rock'n'roll club in the seventies in Harrow called "The 65 Special". Val wanted to sponsor her own show and join our radio club as well. She selected tracks that she remembers being played in that club 35 years ago! She's a lovely lady but couldn't come in person so she sent her choices to me to play along with some requests and dedications!

It was Lin & John, who run this website, that got Keith listening in to the show each week! He has also joined our radio club to support us! On Tuesday 22nd September we had legendary drummer Rick Winter who played with
"The Saints" from 1963. They did the British cover version of Wipe Out on Pye Records.
Rick also recorded with the late Heinz and Joe Meek, and he worked with Jerry Lee Lewis,
Cliff Bennett, Johnny Kidd, Eddie Cochran, Tommy Roe, Billy Fury, Gene Vincent and
many more. The Saints will play a gig on the 17th October this year at The Woodgreen
Indoor Arena in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire.

On Tuesday 30th June we had sixties legend Grazina Frame on the show. Grazina
recorded for HMV in the early sixties with tracks like Lover Please Believe Me, Don't Be Shy,
Be My Baby and Let Me Go Lover. She starred in the film 'Every Day's A Holiday' with John Leyton,
Mike Sarne and Freddie Garrity and 'What A Crazy World' with Joe Brown. Grazina supported
Billy Fury on his very first UK tour. We had some surprises for her when she came down.

On Tuesday 13th January we had BLUE PART 2. Dell found enough tracks in the bag to do another 3-hour special featuring the word BLUE.
