On Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day) we had our Christmas Party with some festive tracks along with listener's requests. We had a special GRT club members draw with 5 lucky winners, as well as the usual competition for everyone. On Tuesday 19th December we had Wee Willie Harris. On Tuesday 12th December we had DJ Bill Guntrip on the show, with his wife Sharon. Bill organises many gigs, and has been a DJ for many years. He played his selection of favourite rockers on the show. Bill also gave us some free tickets for a couple of his events in December, as prizes for the listeners!

On Tuesday 5th December we had the Sugar Creek Trio in the studio. They played some 'live' tracks from their numerous CD's and also chatted about the band. The guys are Martin on drums, Kevin on bass and Darren (flying fingers) on guitar. The band also gave away some CD's as prizes for the listeners!

On Tuesday 28th November we had a Tribute To Mike Parker. Mike was a GRT club member who sadly passed away recently. He loved his rock'n'roll, and listened to Dell's show every Tuesday. Mike was the father of Crazy Jay of the Partytimers, and on this special night we had Crazy Jay & The Partytimers playing 'live' in the studio. They included two of Mike's favourite songs - Kansas City and My Christmas Prayer. The band's manager, Lesley Larsen was also there, and donated some CD's as prizes. Our thoughts are with Mike and his family.

On Tuesday 14th November we had another Retro & Neo Rockabilly Show. On this night we featured Jack Rabbit Slim, Hot Boogie Chillun, Restless, Hillbilly Moon Explosion, Santos, Go Getters, Union Avenue, Slapbacks, Darrel Higham, Hot Rocks, Polecats, Bernie Woods and many more.

On Tuesday 31st October we had Russ Sainty in the studio. Russ fronted a band in the early sixties called the Nu Notes. They starred on the very first night of the 59 club, which was opened by Cliff Richard and Princess Margaret. Russ talked about the old days, including playing at the famous 2-I's coffee bar in Old Compton St. He recorded about 10 singles, and some great instrumentals as the Nu Notes. Another exclusive interview with one of the original rock'n'rollers!

On Tuesday 3rd October we had the American legend Charlie Gracie in the studio.
Some of Charlie's hits included Fabulous, Wandering Eyes, Cool Baby, Ninety Nine Ways, Just
Lookin' and many more. Charlie came down with his wife Joan and driver Dave, and as well as
chatting about his career, he gave us some unique live renditions of some of his hits.
In the 50's, Charlie appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, The Alan Freed Show and in the film
"Jamboree". Now he will be on the 'Good Rockin' Tonight' show. What an honour to interview
the 'Fabulous' Charlie Gracie.
Many listeners called in to thank Charlie for his performances on his recent tour of the UK.
He said he'd been interviewed many times on radio and TV, but he had never enjoyed a show so much !!

On Tuesday 12th September we had a show called Rock'n'Roll Crooners. This show featured the unlikely singers who jumped on the rock'n'roll bandwagon in the fifties, like Eartha Kitt singing "Honolulu Rock'n'Roll", Guy Mitchell and "Crazy With Love", Frankie Vaughn doing "Rock-A-Chika", and many more old crooners who made recordings that were completely out of their style. Even Frank Sinatra did it his way with "Bim Bam Baby" and Dickie Valentine with "Puttin' On The Style"!

On Tuesday 22nd August we had Sixties Rocker Cliff Bennett on the show. Cliff
fronted the Rebel Rousers, who recorded many singles and LP's from 1961 to 1967. We talked
to him about his early career and played some classic tunes. We also gave
away some original vinyl recordings by Cliff in our competition, autographed of course!

On Tuesday 15th August we had special guests Martin Murray, Colin Fox and Tony Harte of the band The Honeycombs. The band re-formed in 2004, and Martin brought along new band members Tony and Colin. Martin chatted to us about the early days in the late fifties and played his influences, such as Lonnie Donnegan and Buddy Holly. He also talked about his long association with the legendary producer Joe Meek, who produced the Honeycombs big hit "Have I The Right", which reached number one in the charts in 1964. On Tuesday 30th May we had our Wild Boppers Part 2 show. We had a big response from listeners when we had Part 1 on 14th March this year. On Tuesday 16th May we had Andy Molyneux on the show. Andy writes a column every month in the UK Rock magazine. Andy came down from Southend, Essex with his partner Liz. He told us about his life and played some of his all-time favourite tracks!

Unfortunately Chris and Bev Jackson were unable to make it to the studio on Tuesday 9th May. Chris and his family run the famous Americana Festival held in Newark, Nottinghamshire. This year it runs from July 6th-9th. Last years event was attended by 71,000 people!
