Friday 24th December, 2004 was, of course, the Christmas Party Night, with loads of prizes in a club members draw, and the usual competition open to everyone. Most of the music had a seasonal theme. Gary Neal was kind enough to sponsor part of the show at the last minute, Thanks Gary!!

Friday 17th December there was an invasion of Radio Caroline by club members Dave Brighton, and Robin and Norma Speechley. Unfortunately Glenn Darren couldn't make it, but they all had quite a party, and each played some of their favourites. Dave, Robin and Norma also sponsored the whole show between them. Thanks Gang!

Friday 19th November saw the return of London Rockabilly DJ Jerry Chatabox chatting about the next "Rockabilly Rave", the biggest ever. He was accompanied by his partner Miss Mary Ann.

On Friday 12th November we had a 3 hour Joe Meek Special, with special guest Alan Wilson of "Western Star Records", based in Bristol, UK. He has just released an album with modern bands covering Joe Meek songs, called "Joe Meek Shall Inherit The Earth". Alan played some tracks from this new album, and Dell played many original Joe Meek artists, like John Leyton, Mike Berry, Tornados, Moontrekkers, Blue Rondos and many more. Alan has his own website at www.howlinwilson.co.uk.

Clive Osborne was with us on Friday 5th November. Clive has played saxaphone for many years with groups like the Playboys, Dave Phillips Hot Rod Gang, Big Boy Bloater and many more. He is coming down to promote his new "Surf" group called "The Surfin' Gorillas". They have a new CD on Foot Tapping Records called "The Return Of The Surfin' Gorillas".

On Friday 15th October, Mick Satan visited the programme. Way back in 1974, Mick was one of the Rockin' Devils. They hit the road as one of the first teddyboy revival bands. They have a CD coming out on Nervous Records, called "Teddyboy Anthems", with many of their old recordings.

On Friday 8th October we had a Skiffle group called the Ugly Dog Skiffle Combo. Band members Jez, John, Clare, Neil, Baz and Wayne gave us the "live" sounds of Banjo, Washboard, Bull Fiddle, Guitar, Kazoo, Harmonica and many more instruments. They have a new CD on Western Star Records, called "Live At Western Star", and a website here.

On Friday 10th September we had Chas Hodges as a special guest. Chas started out with a group called "The Outlaws" playing mainly instrumentals and had many releases on HMV. He also backed artists like Gene Vincent and Jerry Lee Lewis (he even did a duet with Jerry Lee on 'Bad Moon Rising' on the London Sessions). Chas plays bass and piano. In later years he went on to greater fame as part of "Chas & Dave". He now has a group called Chas Hodges Rock'n'Roll Trio and, at the end of September, they will be playing at the Eddie Cochran Weekend in Chippenham.

On Friday 3rd September, unfortunately for safety reasons Mick Satan was not able to get into the Ross Revenge studio, but he has promised to visit Maidstone in the near future. Way back in 1974, Mick was one of the Rockin' Devils. They hit the road as one of the first teddyboy revival bands. His visit has now been re-arranged for 15th October.

On Friday 20th August The Belvadares travelled the length of England, all the way from Carlisle in Cumbria to Tilbury Docks, to join Dell and Roy on the Ross Revenge. On Friday 6th August we had Crazy Jay & The Partytimers with manager (and Jay's dad) Mike (club member 0094), and Lesley, their sales lady. They came down to help Dell celebrate his birthday, and to talk and play some tracks from their new album called "Looking At You" which has just been released, and is available through Fury Records.

On Friday 30th July we had Lee Curtis with his wife Beryl. Lee released several tracks on Decca, including "Little Girl", "Let's Stomp", "What About Me" and "Ecstacy", and also many releases also on the famous German "Star Club" label in the early sixties. He also appeared on the 60's TV show "Thank Your Lucky Stars".

Another live band was in the studio on Friday 4th June when The Caravans played for us. They are Mark Penington on lead guitar and vocals, Paul Lambourne on bass, Lee Barnet on drums and Craig Boyd on rhythm guitar. They have been playing rockabilly for over 20 years, and have a CD on Fury Records called "Glamorous Heart".

Dave Sampson was a guest on Friday 21st May. Cliff Richard helped Dave start off in the music business, and they both worked for the same manager Norrie Paramor in the early 60's. Some of Dave's Columbia releases were Easy To Dream, It's Lonesome, If You Need Me, Sweet Dreams and many more. Dave later went on to join "The Hunters". Robin and Norma sponsored the whole show, what stars !!!

On Friday 30th April we had The Ghostriders in the studio. They are a foursome from Northamptonshire, UK, and are Martin on vocals, Paul on Lead Guitar, Terry on Bass, and Steve on Drums. They played some tracks that they had specially recorded for the show. A World Exclusive!!

Friday 23rd April was devoted to The Fury Records Story 1986 - 2004. Dell told us how he started his Record Company, how it developed, and played selections of tracks from the many LP's and CD's he has released over the years. On Friday 19th March 2004 The Stargazers were in the studio for a chat, and to play some tracks from their CD's. There most famous track was "Groove Baby Groove" and it's still very popular in the clubs today. They started life as the "Rhythm Cats" in Uxbridge, near London, many moons ago.

On Friday 12th March 2004 Dancing Dave was in the studio, with his partner Vicky, to chat and play some of their favourite tracks. Dave hails from Leicester, UK, and is one of the best DJ's in the Midlands. As well as DJ'ing all over the Midlands, he helps to run a couple of clubs, where he also gives dancing lessons. A talented man !!!

On Friday 6th Feb was our Neo-Rockabilly Special Part 2 playing modern Rockabilly from bands on the club circuit today, and some harder Neo-Rockabilly from the last 20 years. It was not a show for the faint hearted !!

On Friday 30th January 2004 we had Rockin Ricky (Club Member No.87). He also brought along Dave Chevron and their partners Hilary and Shelley. Rockin' Ricky has been on the scene with various bands since the sixties. Dave and Ricky now tour with their nostalgia show, Reminiscing . In the late fifties Ricky worked at the 2 I's coffee bar in Soho, where he met many stars in those early days, and he told some great stories.

On Friday 9th January 2004 we had Ian Wallis in the studio. Ian has written a book called "American Rock'n'Roll Artists - The UK Tours 1956 - 1972". He talked about the book and played some of the artists mentioned, such as: Gene Vincent, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ronnie Hawkins & Janis Martin. The book sells for £21.99 and it's published by "Music Mentor", and it will be available from Roy Williams at Nervous Records.
