On Tuesday 2nd September we had MAMA'S PART 2. This was another music special

On Tuesday 26th August we had a night called TEXAS. This night was for club member Joerg Lehmann's wife PAM. She had a traumatic period some time ago and is now fully recovered. This night was dedicated to her, as she is a Texan lady from down San Antonio way, now living in Germany! We featured Texan songs by a host of artists on this special night. Here are a few... Hank Snow, Asleep At The Wheel, Tommy Sands, Wayne Hancock, Ted Herrold, Johnny Horton, Flying Saucers, Gene O'Quin, Don Lang, Stan Freburg, Dale Watson, Bob Wills, Buck Wheat, Louis Jordan, Oscar McLollie, Rosie Flores, Tex Williams plus many more.

On Tuesday 19th August we had GRT club members 0100 Alan and Wendy Titley. This was a surprise birthday present for Alan from his wife Wendy. She also offered to sponsor Alan's appearance to celebrate his 65th Birthday! Alan brought a selection of rare records to play on the show!

On Tuesday 12th August we had GRT club member Brian Brain. Brian brought his partner Jenny, and friend Ian who manned the phones that night. On Tuesday 29th July we had the word BLUE as the theme for the show. We didn't play the obvious as you've heard them hundreds of times before! Take Blue Suede Shoes for example, we all know Carl Perkins, but I played it by Art Adams, The Marcel's Blue Moon covered by Jerry Arnold and Tommy Sand's Blue Ribbon Baby by Colin Cook.

On Tuesday 22nd July we had the return of Tony Fry. Tony was a researcher for the BBC for many years and specialises in the Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Doo-Wop and Rockabilly. Tony travelled down from his home in Shrewsbury with another selection of rare rockin' tracks from his private collection.

On Tuesday 15th July we had club members James & Mel from sunny Strood in Kent.
James is a rockin' DJ (when he's not sitting in his mechanical digger at work!) and Minxy Mel,
his partner, was manning the phones that night. James brought some records
from his big collection, and as always he found something Dell had never heard before.
They also sponsored the whole show! Great couple - Thanks!
Sadly, Stan Perkins had to cancel his tour of the UK because of ill health, so his visit
to Radio Caroline on 15th July was also cancelled. Get Well Soon, Stan.

On Tuesday 8th July we had Chester as a guest on the show. He came down to promote the new book he has written about his wild and interesting life. The book is called "JUST FOR KICKS!" and has 400 pages of stories and great photos! He also planned a Ton Up day on the 20th July 2008 at Jacks Hill Cafe on the A5 at Towcester, Northants. Hundreds of classic bikes, memorabilia stalls, eggs & chips and 'live' music from The Rapiers. Even Mike Sarne was there.

On Tuesday 24th June we had a special show dedicated to Rockin' Yann called CRAZY. Every track had the word "Crazy" in the title! We have even invited Rockin' Yann down on this special evening, as he starts a new career in July, and will not be able to help out so often. Bill has a new CD called "Looking For Some Happiness", and we played some tracks from this album, and Bill also sang and played his acoustic guitar for some 'live' numbers. High Voltage, Firebirds, Dave Phillips, Jive Romeros, Darrel Higham, The Jets, High Strung
Ramblers and dozens more!!
This was Rockin' Yann's last regular night with us, due to him being made redundant
from his job! Club members Norma & Robin Speechley sponsored the whole
show to say thanks to Yann for his hard work and dedication to the listeners and to
Good Rockin' Tonight over the years!

On Tuesday 20th May we had Kytsun Wolfe in the studio. Kytsun plays "Cliff Richard" at The London Palladium on Sunday 14th September. He's sensational - Cliff in all but name. The show is called "The Golden Celebration - 50 Years of Cliff Richard and The Shadows". On the bill are The Rapiers (as The Shadows), Wee Willie Harris, The Vernons Girls, Billie Davis and Jet Harris. The compere is Diddy Dave Hamilton. Kytsun chatted about his busy lifestyle, and he gave us some tickets as prizes for the listeners.

On Tuesday 22nd April 2008 we had Rocking Johnny Austin on the show! Johnny recorded a popular stroller back in the eighties called 'Rockabilly Stroll' which took off all over the country in rock'n'roll clubs! Johnny has made various recordings over the years and was awarded an MBE for his work with charities. He lives in Uttoxeter these days, and he sponsored the whole show! Thanks Johnny!

Paul is the lead guitarist with both High Voltage & Union Avenue. Paul's early years were

influenced him over the years.

On Tuesday 4th March we had Graham Fenton. He came down to chat about
his busy lifestyle with Matchbox, and also pay a tribute to his old departed pals
Screaming Lord Sutch and Carlo Little. Graham also wants to pay
tribute to Freddie Fingers Lee who has suffered two strokes and is unable to
perform any more. He played some tracks by other artists that have influenced
him over the years. Graham is planning a solo album sometime in the future. He is so
popular with the listeners and it is a pleasure to invite back on the show !
