On Tuesday 31st January The Billy Fury "In Thought's Of You" Fan Club sponsored the middle hour of 7pm to 8pm, as a tribute to Billy's memory, presented by Karen. The remaining two hours was a tribute to the sound of British rock'n'roll from the late fifties and early sixties.

On Tuesday 24th January 2012 we had Pete Gold with the A-to-Z of Girl's Names. He managed all the letters of the alphabet (with a couple of cheats!). Pete always comes up with some interesting concepts for the listeners. He also sponsored the whole show - Thanks Mate!

On Tuesday 17th January we had more Nonsense Part 2. Another themed night with record titles that made no sense. For example: Five Satins - Skipetty Doo, Marie Jones - Riba Daba Doo, Little Richard - Heebie Jeebies, Buddy Milton - Ooh Wah, Ritchie Valens - Dooby Dooby Wah, The Rays - Zimba Lulu, Jimmy Dell - Teeny Weeny plus tons more. Another 3 hours of nonsense!

On Tuesday 10th January we had a Mixed Bag, playing new CD's sent to Dell over the Christmas Period plus some requests from previous shows. A complete mixture of all styles of music! Rockabilly, Doo-Wop, Jive, Stroll and contempory bands!

On Tuesday 3rd January 2012 we had a themed night called CRAZY PART 2. Some time ago we ran Part 1, playing every track with the word CRAZY in the title. Well, it was time for another one. Here's just a small selection of tracks we played:- Sid King - Crazy Little Heart, Otis Williams - Crazy Crazy Love, Esquerita - Crazy Crazy Feelin', Charlie Gracie - Crazy Girl, Neville Taylor - Crazy Little Daisy, Albert Ammons - Bass Goin' Crazy, Chuck Berry - Crazy Arms, Vern Pullens - Bop Crazy Baby and many more! What a start to the New Year with a 3 hour CRAZY show!

On Tuesday 27th December we had another night of insanity when Rockin' Yann took to the air-waves with his Post-Christmas 'Windy' Special. The music was all 'HOT BOPPERS' from his collection. His straight jacket was removed for this 3 hour show, and we all sat down with a brandy before tuning in! These club members were mad enough to sponsor one hour each of Rockin' Yann's show - Mick & Dot Chick, Donna Grogan and Robin & Norma - Thanks guys and gals - Happy New Year!

On Tuesday 20th December we had Bill Rocket Haynes with a Christmas Special. Lots of Yuletide Rockers and Festive Fun on this night. Bill also sponsored the show. Happy Christmas!

On Tuesday 13th December, club member Terry Wheeler sponsored his own show! Terry couldn't come in person, but he chose 22 tracks from his record collection to play for the listeners. There were a few surprises with his choices that night. He lives in Torrington in Devon and often sponsors other guests on the show. He loves his rock'n'roll music! Great lad!

On Tuesday 6th December we had a Joint Ladies Night. Club member Val in Watford asked club members Norma in Uxbridge and Liz in South Wales to each pick a selection of favourite rockin' tracks and dedications! Sadly, the girls weren't in the studio, but Dell put the show together for them. Val also kindly sponsored the show and the prizes on this night! Thanks Val !!

On Tuesday 29th November Edwardian Kev and friend Mirian came over from Norway to guest on our show. They combined their visit with the Wildest Cats Weekend at Pakefield. Kev suggested the theme of Weird Rock'n'Roll, and it was a laugh! Kev also sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 11th October we had Robb Shenton with the launch of his new CD on Fury Records called 'We're Gonna Rock'. This album was recorded at Western Star Studios and was produced by Alan Wilson. The Western All Stars backed up Robb to make this a great CD. Robb chatted about this new album and gave some away as prizes! Cotton Mill Music sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 27th September we had special guest The Original Teddyboy - Wee Willie Harris. He returned to the show to tell us about his BBC2 interview with Melvyn Bragg on the programme 'Reel History Of Britain'. Willie has also done some recent recordings, singing some of Bill Haley's classics. At 78 years old he is still doings gigs around the country. Don't miss this legendary artist from the 2 Eye's Coffee Bar from 1956!

On Tuesday 2nd August we had Rob Bradford in the studio, with a theme called Records Banned From The Airwaves in the USA and the UK between 1954 and 1963. Some interesting tracks and stories from Rob. He also sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 26th July we had the return of the legendary Terry Dene. He came down to promote his latest CD called 'The Best Of Terry Dene', and gave us an 'unplugged' live rendition of some of the numbers. His last visit was in September 2007. On Tuesday 21st June we had the lead singer from the fantastic Jack Rabbit Slim Bob Butfoy. He was in the studio to plug their new vinyl EP and DVD. Bob has been on the rockin' scene for many years, and it was great to catch up with him. Alan Wilson from Western Star Records sponsored the show!

On Tuesday 14th June we had legendary guitarist Rhet Stoller along with sixties heart-throb Russ Sainty. Rhet (real name Barry) talked about his early days with The Nu-Notes, and Russ played some tracks from his new triple CD "Radio Play That Song Again", a 76-track box-set!! Dell also played the un-released 'Cherokee War Dance' by Rhet Stoller (a cracking instrumental), and some never-heard-before demo's from Russ!! Club member Terry Wheeler sponsored the show.

On Tuesday 12th April we had Ron Bowdery and Paul Brice as guests. Ron and Paul go back to 1960 when they began their rock'n'roll life with Ricky Wayne & The Flee-Rakkers on Triumph Records, then to join up with The Offbeats on Pye Records, and in 1961 they joined Lee Diamond & The Cherokees on Fontana Records. Interesting guys with lots of stories from those old rockin' days.

After spending her Birthday in hospital with appendicitis last week, she sent in her selection of favourite rockin' tracks for the listeners! Belated Happy Birthday Val, and thanks for your support! We all wish you a speedy recovery.

Jerry Chatabox and Miss Mary Anne were due to be in the studio this evening, but have delayed their visit until later in the year.

We continued the journey through his early career by playing more songs from the Columbia, Oriole and Pye vaults, and included tracks from his own record label (Alaska Records) which he formed in the late 70's with artist's like Crazy Cavan and Flying Saucers. On Tuesday 18th January 2011 we had the return of Rockin' Johnny Austin MBE. Another fun night with this zany character from the rockin' scene. Johnny's hot stroller from the 80's 'Rockabilly Stroll' has been included on a new Raucous compilation called 'Rockabilly Rules OK'. Johnny's local builder Paul Hudson sponsored the whole show!

We would like to thank club member Bernie Haake for his generosity and faith in letting John play his selections for the whole year! This final night saw John digging out his rarist rock'n'roll gems!
